Cosmetic Surgery Reversal

Saturday, September 10th, 2011

It is an unfortunate reality that there are many people that are unhappy with the results of their cosmetic surgery. Often these patients have seen Cosmetic Surgeons that are not appropriately qualified or had “overseas” cosmetic surgery holidays. There are many reasons that this is not a great idea but for patients that have already had the surgery and are unhappy with the results this advice may come a little late.

Surgery that has been performed may be able to be completely or partially reversed or certainly improved. Patients seeking Facial Plastic/Cosmetic procedure reversal or revision should make an appointment to see Dr Pincock at Sydney Facial Plastics at 02 88833699 or for overseas patients +61 2 88833699

For patients seeking revision or reversal of a body procedure they should make arrangements to see Dr Tavakoli – please visit his webpage by pasting the following address in your browser http://www.drtavakoli.com.au

Mini-Facelift procedure – New Technique By Dr Tobias Pincock

    Sunday, May 29th, 2011

In the past there has been several types of Facelift. On one end of the spectrum min-lift procedures that offered minimal downtime and great results that just did not deliver the results that patients wanted. On the other end of the spectrum deep-plane facelifts are very good for results particularly for heavily jowled and heavy necks but the downtime is high (6 to 8 weeks). I am performing a combination lift that takes the best parts of the deep plane facelift with other types of facelifts to provide a long lasting result with minimal downtime.

    Deep Plane Facelift in Sydney

    Saturday, May 21st, 2011

Sometimes the terms of facelift are difficult for the patient seeking a face-lift of other ageing face procedure to understand. Many poorly trained surgeons will advocate only one type of procedure as a cure all for all types of people. This just is simply not possible. There is no way for example a short scar face lift or MACS lift is going to be suitable for a very heavily jowled turkey neck type patient.

This is why it is important to see a specialist, I get a huge amount of calls from people seeking a price on a thread lift, S-lift, MACS lift without having seen anyone and when I actually see them often they either a) don’t need a surgical procedure or b) the procedure they thought they needed is not the correct one.

This is an example of a Deep Plane Facelift I did for a lady who had had significant weight loss and needed a true deep plane facelift with neck lift

    Deep Plane Facelift

Rowena Wallace - Non surgical Facelift

This patient needed a deep plane facelift and this is her result only 6-8 weeks post surgery. Other types of patients will not require a deep plane facelift and may only require a short scar neck lift or eye lifting procedure, this is the case with Rowena Wallace whom I performed a non-surgical facelift, minimal scar necklift and blepharoplasty on (see below)

New Technique for Nasolabial Dermal Filler

    Saturday, October 23rd, 2010

In the past Nasolabial folds have been injected with filler simply by putting a sausage of dermal filler within the fold. this gives a reasonable result when the face is at rest but can result in an unusual or odd appearance when the face is dynamic.

Dr Pincock is using a newer technique which uses less filler, lasts longer and gives a much more natural appearance when using non surgical facial rejuvenation.

    Facelift Techniques in Sydney

    Thursday, April 1st, 2010

Deep Plane Facelift, short scar facelift, necklift, cheeklift, MACS face-lift, threads, smas lift, composite lift etc – what confusing terminology to essentially describe similar operations.

Its no wonder that patients get very confused when trying to work out what they want for facial rejuvenation. First of all what works for one patient will not necessarily work for another. A short scar face lift or a MACS lift may work perfectly well for a 45 year old female with some early jowling but will not produce a great result in a 65 year old patient with a heavy neck and jowls.

for more info on facelifts please click here: http://www.aafprs.org/patient/procedures/rhytidectomy.html

To make things easier a Deep Plane facelift is a more extensive facelift that includes a necklift which is a great procedure for patients with a heavy neck and jowls. All the other techniques are more MINIMAL procedures that are for patients that do not have the same rejuvenation requirements.

Threadlifts were all the rage a few years ago because they promised equal results with minimal downtime – problem is they DO NOT give you long term results.

Each patient is differnt and the approach needs to be tailored specifically to that patients requirements and goals, the best way is to visit your Facial Plastic Surgeon or Plastic Surgeon with an interest in facial procedures to discuss the possibilities and possible outcomes.
